Building Confidence Through Movement
Embodied Movement Class, Tuesday, November 19th

Today we explored something essential: Confidence isn't something we achieve - it's an energy we can access at any moment by connecting to our essence and wisdom.
Here's what Carolina shared that shifted our perspective:
"Sometimes we look for clarity in our head, when we actually have clarity in our heart. We underestimate the power of having clarity here [in the heart]. You have the feeling about something... and if you honor that, then it creates space for mental clarity."
Through mindful movement and breathwork, we:
- Used breath of fire to activate and clear the solar plexus - our center of personal power
- Practiced physical movements to release shame and embrace self-acceptance
- Explored the body's natural "yes" and "no" through intuitive movement
- Learned to access confidence through being rather than doing
- Released tension patterns that block our natural power
My key takeaway:
"Confidence comes from trusting our inner wisdom and accepting all parts of ourselves - even the doubts and fears. When we create space for everything to exist, we can move forward with natural power."
Here’s how a few of our members related to confidence:
"For me, not fearing failure is powerful. I've built this relationship over years where I just go for it without overthinking. I see failure as helpful guidance, directing me to what's next."
"While teaching strength training classes, I shifted from dreading potential mistakes to seeing them as opportunities for self-acceptance. I use a mantra ('om yam') on my walk to class to open my heart and build energy."
"At the gym, I saw someone doing an interesting exercise and instead of just watching, I went up and asked to try it. That's confidence - feeling the energy shift and taking immediate action."
“Clarity creates a foundation for confidence. It's about self-knowing and trusting where you're heading."
"Regular review of my vision builds confidence. When I notice resistance to something, I now see it as a signal to move toward it. What used to feel like intense anxiety now feels more like an exciting tickle."
We integrated this understanding through:
- Breath of fire practice focused on the solar plexus
- Squatting movements to release and embrace shame
- Pigeon poses to open the hips and process emotions
- Forward/backward movements to practice clear "yes" and "no"
- Core work to strengthen our center of power
